Guided Way Foundation was born from a single, quiet moment. A moment where my daughter, scared and overwhelmed in a hospital room, found comfort in a simple shark plushy. That plush wasn’t just a toy. It became her anchor, her calm, her reminder that she wasn’t alone.

That moment stayed with me.

As the author of the I’ll Meet You™ children’s book series, I’ve witnessed firsthand how stories can hold a child’s heart. Parents have shared how these books have helped their children through grief, loss, and anxiety. Hearing these stories, the tears, the healing, and the small sparks of hope, made me want to do more. I realized that a book, just like that small plushy, could be part of something bigger: a way to help children feel seen, valued, and safe during their darkest days.

So, I created Guided Way Foundation to reach more children with Comfort Kits. Each one a bundle of warmth and reassurance. Our kits include my soothing storybooks, a cuddly plush companion, a soft blanket, and creative tools for expression, all tucked into a personalized tote that says, “This is yours. You matter.”

We can’t take away a child’s pain. But we can remind them they’re not alone.
And that walk begins with comfort.
